Whether you need a small meeting room or a large conference space Central Venues can deliver what you need. Our vast building, with it's over 600sqm of exhibition space and production services to suit, has just what you need for a great event.

Our Spaces

  • Auditorium

    The highlight of Central Hall, with a capacity of 750 seated, this room is ideal for a wide range of functions with flexible seating downstairs for theatre style seating, dinners (250 Banquet) or standing reception/concert.

  • Hall

    This grand but simple Victorian style room offers another flexible meeting room for hire or breakout space in conjunction with the Auditorium. This room can accomodate 100 theatre style, or a perfect space for a reception or exhibitors.

  • Breakout Rooms

    There are smaller rooms available with capacities of up to 50 theatre style to hire for meetings or seminars along with large foyers for reception or exhibition space.

With just over 600sqm of exhibition quality space, various seminar breakout rooms, catering, and high spec audio and visual facilities, Central Hall is perfect for your conference event. Whether 50 or 700 delegates the Hall and/or Auditorium provides a perfect key-note venue.

Once again it’s the versatility and uniqueness of Central Hall that stands out for the perfect reception or dinner. With a blank canvas to work from and excellent caterers to choose from, you can put your own stamp on your event whether you want an elaborate or simple set-up.

Situated in the heart of the true capital of culture, why not consider Central Hall for your theatre production or concert?

Central Hall has been used by the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, Royal Shakespeare Company, Welsh National Opera and National Association of Youth Orchestras amongst others.

    Our dedicated technical team can operate and/or oversee your own production team’s use of the space and facilities.

  • We have a strong and longstanding relationship with Regis Banqueting, who consistently create high quality menus for even our higher capacity conferences and wedding receptions. Regis are a pleasure to work with and we are proud to call them our partners.

    Regis Banqueting cater all over Scotland and pride themselves on their highly-experienced staff, menu variety and flexibility to cater for clients’ individual needs. Regis can provide sit-down meals, buffets, drinks receptions, and more. Their services extend to include bar and linen hire, table and chairs hire as required. No matter how unique the request, simply enquire and receive a quote or book a free, no obligation tasting at their premises.

  • Central Hall has 2 entrances to the main building, the first is the main entrance which is accessed from West Tollcross Street and the other is a disabled entrance accessed from Dunbar Street. When entering from Dunbar Street there is a lift that has access to the main event areas on the 2nd and 3rd floor with a disabled toilet on each floor.
